  • How do I know if the videos I am showing my class are ADA compliant

  • How can I find out what library video resources are available to me?
    • Here are the video databases all UTEP students and staff have available to them
  • How can I request a video?
    • All requests for video purchases or suggestions are to be directed to our Head Electronic Resources Librarian, Lisa Borden
  • Can I have assistance in captioning videos I’ve created?
    • Faculty can contact  the Technology Support Center to assist them in creating closed captions for original content *Captioning requests are limited to 2 per person per month

    • The Technology Support Center periodically has workshops available to students and staff, not only about video software, but also other tools as well. Here is a schedule of their workshops.
  • Why do my videos need to have captioning?
    • Under federal law, all videos purchased and especially created by UTEP affiliated faculty, staff, and students must be ADA compliant. For more information, here is UTEP’s Policy decree
