This research guide has been compiled to assist you in understanding the general guidelines for library student assistants. Schedules, timesheets, breaks, telephone use, appointment and job renewal, evaluations, transfers, and termination procedures are in this LibGuide. These guidelines apply generally to both work-study and hourly student employees.
Student employees are essential to the operation of our library! Please do not underestimate the importance of your talents and skills as you accept this opportunity to become a responsible and knowledgeable representative of the library and the University. Your are encouraged to make this experience a valuable asset during your University years.
Additional materials include handouts, most of which are available at Public Access Services. These include research and finding aids, how to use the library's online catalog, a map of the library, and other information which should answer some of your other questions.
