As you begin the research process, it is essential to establish a clear methodology for data collection and evaluation. Standardized assessment tools, such as tests and measurements, are integral to this phase of research. These instruments facilitate the systematic measurement of psychological variables and commonly include questionnaires, rating scales, inventories, and other empirically validated formats.
Below are databases commonly used to find reviews and sources for obtaining tests and measures in the field of psychology. Note that, for PsycINFO, the APA recommends to start searching the names of the tests that "have been used in research and written about in the literature. The test name should appear in both the Abstract field and the Tests & Measures field" (APA, 2025).
