RWS 5313:Grant Writing

Welcome! This research guide has been developed for ENGL 5313 Grant Writing part of  the Technical & Professional Writing Certificate Program.

The course is about the principles of writing grant proposals. This guide will provide you with resources available through the UTEP Library, as well as web resources recommended by Dr. Isabel Baca.

2 Options:

1. Connect through the UTEP Single Sign On

• follow the prompt to sign in using your UTEP username and password before accessing a database or e-book
• you will be prompted to authenticate (log in) every time you access a protected resource (i.e., databases)
• doesn't get you into all databases (some require IP authentication via VPN)
• in short: sign in when prompted

2. Connect to GlobalProtect VPN

• VPN= Virtual Private Network
• gives your device a secure UTEP IP address; sites will 'think' you're at UTEP when you're connected
• log in once, stay
