FINDING ARTICLES ON A TOPIC:

It is recommended that you use the Advanced Search option to find articles on a specific topic.  Make sure to select “Articles” in the “Search for” menu bar and use Material Type “Articles”. This search will retrieve both magazine and journal articles.

Sample search:  Find articles on global warming as it relates to greenhouse gases.

LIMIT TO SCHOLARLY (PEER-REVIEWED) JOURNALS (ALSO KNOWS AS ACADEMIC JOURNALS):

FULL RECORD FOR A JOURNAL ARTICLE:

First try performing a basic search for the article title and select the “Articles” option.

Sample search:  Look for an article entitled “the brand report card”

If the record is for a journal article, it should contain the basic bibliographic information for a journal article: title of article, author(s), journal name, volume, pages, and year.  If we subscribe to the journal, you will see full text availability information.

The easiest way to find out if the Library provides full text access to a specific journal is by clicking on the "Journal Titles" tab located on the Library's home page under the "Library" heading.   Type the name of the journal you are looking for.
