What is an Institutional Repository?

An Institutional Repository is an archive for collecting, saving, and disseminating digital copies of research being done at UTEP. It can contain everything from articles to data sets. ScholarWorks@UTEP is a hosted, cloud-based, repository so there's no limit to the size of documents or collections.

Repository Options

There are two Institutional Repository options supported at UTEP: ScholarWorks and Expert Gallery. 

ScholarWorks is for groups or campus entities to deposit their academic/creative output to facilitate free, worldwide access and preservation. See the ScholarWorks section of this page for more information and instructions on how to use.

There are two Institutional Repository options supported at UTEP: Expert Gallery and ScholarWorks.

Expert Gallery is for individuals to collect their academic output for networking, promotion, and posterity. See the Expert Gallery section of this page for more information and instructions on how to use.
