Learn about strategies and tips for promoting your scholarly output, and the best ways to monitor and increase your citations and visibility. You’ll also learn how to: understand popular journal metrics, use certain scholarly networking tools, choose reputable open access journals and publishing options, and participate in open access article funding opportunities.

Learn about the UT System’s Textbook Affordability Initiative, which aims to reduce course content expenses and incentivize the creation of high quality, free, and open course materials. Discover ways you can leverage existing OER and content at the library to reduce or eliminate the cost of required texts for your students.

Discover the difference between legitimate and predatory open access publications, and learn about strategies and tools to help you tell the difference. See examples of legitimate, prominent open access publications. Find out which professors at UTEP are publishing in open access journals.
