HIST 1301: History of the U.S. to 1865

This course provides a broad overview of U.S. history through the end of the Civil War. The course will interpret this period through the lens of American identities based on race, class, gender, region, and ethnicity, allowing for a study of U.S. history from multiple perspectives.
