• Z-Degree Program is a complete degree program where one can earn an Associate’s Degree with zero costs for textbooks. All courses require only Open Access and Open Educational Resources.

• UTSA Libraries coordinate the "Adopt a Free Textbook" grant program
• Grant incentive initiative demonstrating measured success
• Appointed an Open Education Coordinator to oversee OER implementation and support

University of Texas at Arlington

• UTA Libraries identify and recognize "Textbook Heroes"—educators whose use of open and affordable resources has lowered financial barriers and contributed to more equitable access to education.
• UTA CARES Grant Program supports educators interested in practicing open education through the adoption of OER and, when no suitable open resource is available, through the creation of new OER or the adoption of library-licensed or other free content.
