These are recommended books for the history of mathematics.  But these are only a handful of them, and they are general to all the history of mathematics instead of a particular subject in the history of mathematics, you can use the library catalog to find more books about your particular topic.

The Stacks

The non-Electronic history of mathematics books we have are located on the 5th floor, primarily in the QAs.  When you find a book in the catalog that you want, write down its full call number so that you can find it in the stacks.

Free books

A lot of books that are out or print have free ebooks available.  These are good sources to find them.


Mathematics has a very long history with many interesting points and topics.  These books may provide a good starting place for you.  Use the catalog to find books at your level on your particular topic.  Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
