Cited Reference Searching

EBSCO

Not all disciplines are covered by traditional sources of citation analysis, such as Web of Science.

Therefore, you may need to find alternative sources for locating citations to an author or published work. Some of the Library databases now include a Cited Reference and/or Times Cited search feature. These numbers are based on the total number of times a publication has been cited within that specific database in the journal titles that it covers.

Listed below are EBSCO databases in the Humanities field that include a cited reference feature:

  • Academic Search Complete
  • Film & Television Literature Index with Full Text
  • Music Index

Click the Cited References link at the top of the menu bar.
From the Cited References search screen, enter search terms into the citation fields.

The results of a cited reference search are displayed for the terms you entered.
