A. If a person is stranded in an elevator, it is important for the Library staff to give reassurance until help can be secured.
B. Do not attempt to force open the doors.
C. Facilities Services and Campus Police are the only ones authorized to open doors to stuck elevators due to liability concerns.
D. Telephone for help. Call University Police (5611), who will call maintenance personnel, and notify Library Administration if problem occurs during regular hours.
