Find Primary Sources
- Archaeological reports may be primary sources and may lead you to more.
- Check the bibliographies of books and articles you read: see what primary sources the authors used.
- Art images are primary sources: paintings, pottery, coins, statues and so on can provide important evidence.
In the Library catalog and databases, try adding "sources" or "inscriptions" to your searches on topics. This should help you find primary sources in those fields. For example, Mesopotamia sources or Egypt sources. Here are a few titles of books you may find useful.
