Developing a Research Question

Suggested method for developing a research question:

Step 1: Develop a Research Topic
- What am I interested in researching?
- What is it that I am trying to answer?
- Who is my audience? What would intrest them about my paper?
- Is it too broad? (will it take more than ten pages to answer?)
- Is it too narrow? (will the answer require only cut & paste information, like facts?)

Step 2: Do Some Preliminary Research

- Web search (is there a variety of information out thre, including government, education, and commercial websites?)
- Scholarly material (is there enough scholarly material, including current articles and books?)

Step 3: Revise & Repeat Process
