UNIV 1301: The Social Construction of Sexuality

A guide for Ms. Darrouzet-Nardi's UNIV 1301 course: The Social Construction of Sexuality

What you can access off Campus

We get it.  You don't always want to (or can) come to campus to do your research. So we don't make you.

You can access all of our Ebooks, databases, and streaming media from home.  You just need to show the databases you are with UTEP.

Which Method to Use

Method 1: Proxy Server

It's easy.  Just click to go into the databases like normal, but before it lets you in, you have to log in with your regular utep login.

Method 2: The VPN

The VPN takes set up, but once it's set up, it's very reliable and easy.  It's the one we recommend.

Basically, the VPN makes the databases think you are on campus.

The easiest way to get the VPN is through Google (or click here).  Just google UTEP VPN.  This will take you to a tech support page

NOTE! if you have a Mac running the Sierra OS, you have to use the Global Protect VPN.
