Technology and Education: APA Style

Formatting Your Paper

There are an infinite number ways of formatting a paper, and there are still a large number of paper formal styles.  Most formatting styles handle citations within the text, endnotes/footnotes, and the works cited page.  Some of the most notable styles include APA, Chicago and MLA. For this class, you will only use APA style.

If you have questions about formating your paper, please visit the UTEP Writing Center (located next to the Reference Desk)!

More Information

There are programs that will help you keep track of your citations and format them appropriately for you.

Three of the top are Endnote, Refworks, and Zotero.

Endnote and Refworks are paid software that we use through a University Library license.  Zotero is free software.

There is a libguide on navigating Refworks.
