What is the GRE?

 

Graduate Record Examine, is a test used to measure an individual’s abilities toward graduate-level course work.

 

 

What does it cover?

 

1.   Analytical Writing: measures critical thinking and analytical writing through clear and effective writing

2.   Verbal Reasoning: measures reading comprehension and verbal reasoning through evaluation of written material

3.   Quantitative Reasoning: measures problem-solving through completion of mathematical problems

GRE Subject: Psychology

What is the Subject GRE: Psychology?

 

Specialized test to cover the discipline of Pscyhology. Some graduate programs request applicants to complete the Subject GRE in addition to the GRE.

 

 

What does it cover?

 

1.   Experimental: learning, language, memory, sensation and perception, and physiological/behavioral neuroscience

2.   Social: clinical and abnormal, lifespan development, personality, social

3.   General: history, educational, measurement and methodology

How is the test administered?

 

The test is administered using paper and pencil. Please note: The test is only available three times a year: October, November and April. All appointments are first-come first-serve.

TOEFL

What is TOEFL?

 

Test of English as a Foreign Language is utilized for international students to measure their ability to communicate in English.

 

 

 

What does it cover?

Listening: measures understanding English spoken language

Reading: measures ability to read and understand

Writing: measures ability to understand written standard English language
